My jewellery practice is rooted in a sculptural approach to the object. I conceive jewellery both through its formal autonomy, as a sculpture, and through the different situations that activate it. Whether worn on the body or awaiting to be grasped in space, each mode of display contributes to its construction and perception.
In all its states, jewellery involves an act of presentation. This gesture entails a form of attention to the body, posture, and the movement of the gaze. My research explores the subtle relationships that unfold on the surfaces of objects and within that infra-thin space where tensions, textures, or reflections of light enter into dialogue.
The treatment of material occupies a central place in my practice. I pay particular attention to the technical processes that make it possible to produce forms of mystery, revelation, or ambiguity.
Silver constitutes a privileged material within this research. Its malleability, its capacity to reflect light, and its discretion, associated with a form of contemplation, make it a medium particularly suited to exploring the relationships between form, use, and appearance.
Through jewellery, I thus investigate objects that oscillate between sculptural presence and activation, between autonomy and relation, seeking to make perceptible subtle phenomena situated at the threshold of gesture, body, and gaze.
